Looking to the future

It has to be said that these results have not been achieved just by luck.  We are constantly working on initiatives to help raise attainment, for example:-

  • We do not allow study leave; instead pupils are expected to attend structured revision lessons.
  • Booster classes are held both after school and during the holidays.
  • All pupils are encouraged to use wider methods of revision, such as MyMaths and other websites.
  • Extra 1-to-1 or small groups support where appropriate
  • We try very hard to keep term-time holidays to a minimum because of the adverse impact on pupil progress

Congratulations to all the pupils and a huge thank you to parents and staff for these excellent and well-deserved results.
